Our faculty handbook, Guide to Teaching Writing and Rhetoric, is an important resource for teachers in the University Writing Program at Notre Dame. With sections addressing our pedagogical and theoretical approaches, the guide also includes sample syllabi, program policies, and other relevant materials. While more recent versions of the guide exist, as we revise and update it each fall, we offer the 2014 edition as a model in the online companion because it is a stand-alone PDF. More recent versions contain numerous links to documents that are password-protected or are located in drives on our university’s intranet.
