Well-compensated and well-planned faculty development was crucial to the success and sustainability of the curriculum as the Blugold Seminar was first conceived. A key component of the week-long faculty workshop each summer was the “Segment Guides,” which outline for instructors the overarching rationale, key concepts and goals, suggested readings, supplementary materials, digital options, recommended projects, and other instructional support information for each of the four main segments of the curriculum.
